Kitchen Broom - $110 + shipping
Hearth Broom - $70 + shipping
Cobweb Broom - price varies by overall length + shipping. $60 per broom at ~44” length; $5 more/less per 6” longer/shorter up to 48” handle. If you have especially high ceilings and desire an especially long cobweb broom, please reach out for a quote. Brooms 6’ - 12’ overall length are quite possible for high ceilings, but will cost more to make and ship. Overall length including broom corn is roughly 22” longer than the handle.

This is a pre-order item. Your $10 deposit secures a slot on the winter pre-order list. The deposit is applied to the total cost and the balance will be billed via email invoice at the time of shipping.

All brooms are bound on hardwood saplings handles that I harvest in the forests of coastal Maine. Saplings are gathered, dried, and meticulously carved to give a smooth and pleasant feel in the hand. This thoughtful carving is one of the hallmarks of my work and it is something that gives me both great prde and significant satisfaction. Each broom is distinct and unique based on the life of the tree on which it is bound. Some handles are pin straight, some have a little extra curvy attitude. Some are more slender, some are larger in diameter. If you think you have a preference, please specify in the production notes at checkout. All brooms are created with utility in mind; I will send you a broom that is beautiful and also distinctly functional. For this reason, I take extra care in selecting trees for handles to enhance their JOY IN DAILY USE!

BROOM NOTES:

• A mainstay of homes, Kitchen Brooms are your standard house broom, good for the kitchen, living room, workshop, and front porch. These are a hefty, flat stitched broom with a bright, lively sweep. Specify your desired overall length in the checkout screen to customize your broom to your own height. Overall length generally varies 48” - 58”. There is a lot of overlap in preference for broom length, but generally speaking: I observe that 48” may be comfortable for someone 5’2” tall, +/- 3”. At 6’2” myself, I enjoy a broom ~56” tall, which is quite a bit taller.

• Hearth Brooms are excellent around the fireplace and woodstove, in the mudroom, or out at the sauna. Handles are ~ 9” long. The broom is flat stitched.

• Cobweb Brooms are one the greatest delights in brooms - a specially designed broom that is light and narrow for reaching into the high places and whisking away the spider webs. It’s a whole lot of fun and very effective! A 2’ handle will serve most folks and their homes very well, but consider whether you’d like something longer or shorter. Cobweb brooms are stitched round and left untrimmed.
