Join together to explore the materials and techniques used for tying functional, beautiful hand brooms.

Total Cost of Class is $90
This is: $80 class fee (paid upon registration), and a $10 materials fee (paid at the start of class).
This class will give each participant the opportunity to try their hand at combining broom corn and string to create 2 styles of whisk brooms to take home, display and put to use. We’ll spend the morning learning how to use knots, a bit of tension, and a dose of creative intuition to construct brooms that should last you many years. All materials and tools needed for the class will be provided.
No prior experience is necessary to participate, though decent dexterity and strength in both hands is quite important for broom making. Class is appropriate for participants age 14+. Any participant under the age of 16 should be accompanied by an adult also participating in the class. Please reach out with questions.
