Handcraft Classes

Classes at Village Handcraft are a chance to learn new skills and craft items that bring joy in regular use. We’ll focus on core skills for using hand tools safely and effectively and practice techniques that will help us form materials into useful objects. We will work to understand the nature of the materials used in each type of craft and discuss how to source many of them from the landscape around us.

A Few Details:

  • Classes are held in the store at
    Village Handcraft

  • 4-8 participants per class

  • Led by shop owner, Eric McIntyre, unless noted otherwise

~ Spring 2024 class offerings now OPEN for registration ~

If a class is full, email eric@villagehandcraft.com to be added to a waitlist in the event of cancellations.

Money should not be a barrier to learning. If financial resources would otherwise prevent you from signing up for a class, reach out by email or phone. I am committed to offering one seat in each class for members of the community who want to learn and don't have the funds available to pay the class fee. If you want to practice hand skills, meet new people, and work with tools, you belong here. Please be in touch.

Refund Policy: Class reservations are 90% refundable up until 2 weeks prior to the start of class. After that point in time, class registrations can be transferred to someone else. If someone is taking your place in class, please send an email to let me know. If you know you cannot attend and the seat will otherwise be empty, let me know. I often have folks on a waitlist for classes and may be able to help find a replacement.
